Special Foster Homes Are Needed
The Rescue could use three or four foster homes that specialize in dogs with behavioral issues. We particularly need homes that are able to deal with issues like food aggression, poorly socialized dogs (potential for fear aggression with other dogs) and resource guarding.
You must have experience with the pug breed, use ONLY positive methods of training (No prong/choke/shock collars). We do not subscribe to dominance/correction based training. No leash popping, alpha rolling or other methods of forcing a dog to submit. No punitive crating.
If you are interested in providing a foster home for some of our dogs who have troubled histories, please read our fostering manual by clicking here, fill out an application specifying your skills in animal training/behaviour. Please apply ONLY if you have experience with these types of behaviour. We will not respond to applicants who do not have hands on experience or use what we consider punitive or aversive methods.
