The potential adopters had a change of mind so Buddie is still seeking that special, tender family that he can be part of.
active family
single dog or female dog around his age (because Buddy is visually impaired some dogs find this a challenge and are not understanding)
children over 7yrs
allowed to sleep with humans
minimal alone time
plenty of exercise and play
He might be visually impaired but you would never know it, boy is he full of spunk. Buddy is a very attractive dog. He is 3.5 years old and is 22.3lbs of all muscle. Well mannered and easy going. He loves to cuddle and kiss. His voice commands are excellent and he is able to sit lie roll and give you his paw. He loves his walks and children. He doesn't mind cats.
There is some food aggression which in not uncommon with visually impaired dogs. However we have developed a routine and have had no issues. So long as he knows there is no competition for his food it is all good.
Buddy was able to learn the layout of my home in 2 days and he loves car rides. Buddy loves to be around people and will sit by my for hours whether I am on the computer reading a book or watching T.V. Buddy will make someone a wonderful companion and I will be extremely sad to see him go.
Introduction - August 10
Buddie is blind in both eyes. He was born blind in one eye and lost sight in the other before he was 1 year old. However, through the love and care of his owners, he has developed a big affection for people and has adjusted to his lack of vision very well. He is in good heatlh, neutered and up to date on his shots.
He is reportedly food agressive and the owner's 14 month old daughter is not of the age where she can live with a dog who has this problem. So they have had to surrender him to our care.
